Hynix recently achieved ¡®Design Wins¡¯ in major applications for 41nm 32Gb and 16Gb MLC based stacked products, approximately a month faster than the previous generation 48nm MLC.
41nm monolithic 32Gb MLC packaged in 14x18x1.0mm LGA package is ideal in a wide range of applications where thinness is critical such as MP3 players and Smart Phones.
The 64Gb MLC DDP comprising of two 32Gb die, is offered in LGA package with dual channel features which improves the memory¡¯s read/ write performance by approximately 30% compared to single channel. The dual channel feature creates opportunities for new markets such as high end portable multimedia players with video and audio download features, which require very high density memory, featuring high performance and slim package design.
The 41nm 16Gb MLC enables a single chip 2GB solution in TSOP, while meeting uSD¡¯s technical specifications. An 8-high stack (Octal Die Package) of 16Gb MLC would yield 16GB in an industry standard TSOP.
