Hynix receives DDR3 RDIMMs and ECC UDIMMs validation on Westmere |
Description |
Hynix Semiconductor has a total of 84 types of RDIMMs and ECC UDIMMs validated on the first Intel server platform that supports DDR3L (1.35V operation), called Tylersburg-EP (code-named Westmere).
Both 54nm and 44nm technology based DIMMs, with registers from 3 vendors, are validated. Validation includes 1333Mbps with 2DPC(DIMM per Channel) demonstrating that the modules have enough timing/voltage margins on this new server platform.
The products use 54nm 1Gb B-version, T-version, 2Gb A-version, and 44nm 2Gb B-version all of which are in mass production.
