Who changes the world?

Yes. Everything Changes.
There is an old saying that Nothing last forever.
As that saying, many things have changed, people adapt themselves to the changes.
Is this boring or is it exciting?

Well, first¡¦, close your eyes, take a deep breath and relax. Just reminisce about the events that took place 10 or 15 years ago. Can you imagine yourself much younger? Of course, suddenly the memories of an old friend would enter your mind.
Set those sweet memories aside, and look to see what¡¯s in the palm of your hand. What are you holding?
The huge and brick-size $1,000 cell phone in a fine leather case as smooth as velvet? What¡¯s on your desk?
The all-new shining $2,000 Notebook computer sitting besides a family photo frame. (It generated enough heat to scramble-eggs)
Do you remember how ¡°The blue Screen¡± would terrify you? Especially if it occurred before an important meeting.

Computers were not as well connected as they are now..
Access fees were high, and network speeds slow.
You could drink a cup of coffee waiting for a page to download from WWW (World Wide Web).
Do you remember the characteristic beep of old telephone modem?
Of course, not everyone have this expensive hardware.
Even, desk-top computers were so expensive and bulky.
Notebook computers were the pride of hardware geeks and early adopters.

Well. Open your eyes and look around.
High school students are walking with small colorful pebble-sized cell phone in their hands.
You can see all brand-new computers manufactured all over the world.
College students are drinking a tea, while searching and checking e-mail over wireless connections on their Netbooks. You can also conduct on-line commerce while enjoying dinner in a cozy restaurant with your family.

Performance of these systems is now much better, but the price is also getting reasonable for all.
The so-called ¡°WWW¡± has become an essential element in our daily life only in this decade. This article itself was created on a notebook and brought you over WWW. Does this appear normal to you?

Compared to a decade ago, the ¡°Biggest¡± change is ¡°Connecting to the World¡±. From isolation to an open door, and from ¡°Closed World¡± to ¡° An Open World¡±¡¦

Our blue planet has become much flatter and wider than ever.

And ¡°All This Big Change¡± is not brought about by politics, or by an idealist dreaming of ¡° World Peace¡±.

It is ¡°YOU¡±, going about your work, who is bringing about these changes.

Next month¡¯s topic is ¡° History of Computer games¡±.

Please relax and enjoy.

To be continued¡¦.
